Headhunters by Luis Paredes

“The Thief of Always meets Eight Legged Freaks.”
My obsession with the occult and insects sets the stage for my new horror novel, Headhunters, now available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and other retailers.
The story follows 11-year-old Edgar Tooms and his battle against ancient demons shaped like eight-foot-tall praying mantises. The voracious beasts feed on spirits stuck between our world and the afterlife—spirits like Edgar’s grandfather, a housebound ghost.
Set in idyllic #DobbsFerry, New York, Headhunters is steeped in ancient mythology and enough giant bugs to generate #entomophobia (fear of insects) in the hardiest of readers.
“Decidedly creepy and Flanagan-esque in approach, Headhunters pulls you in with the promise of eerie things to come. And boy does it deliver,” said @robertottone author of the Bram Stoker Award-winning novel The Triangle.
Published by @PlatypusBookPress, Headhunters is the indie press’s first full-length #horrornovel
